Our Dietitians
Meet Nicole Ciullo
Nicole Ciullo, RD, is a registered dietitian and nutrition counselor. She became interested in nutrition at a young age, as she struggled with her own weight and worked to learn more about the correlation between diet, fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Later, as an undergraduate, Ms. Ciullo studied the basic foundation of nutrition and the science of how it affects our bodies.
As part of her studies, Ms. Ciullo found work with the New Jersey State WIC (Women, Infants, & Children) Dietetic Internship Program, where she completed coursework in a number of health-related studies, including maternal and pediatric nutrition, preventative and therapeutic nutrition, and nutrition for disease prevention. She also spent time with a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator in a private practice where she observed the dietitian counsel patients, primarily women, on weight loss, diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol. It was during this experience of my internship that she realized the impact nutrition counseling can have.
After graduating, Ms. Ciullo continued her work at the WIC. As a nutritionist, she educated program participants on prenatal and postpartum, infant and child nutrition. She specifically worked with a younger population of women to inform them about good nutrition and how to pass this on to their children.
Before starting at RWWC, Ms. Ciullo also worked as a clinical dietitian at Innova Health & Rehab, a sub acute rehab / long term care facility. There she counseled patients from young adults to the elderly on obesity, recovering from gastric bypass surgery, high cholesterol, hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, gastrointestinal illness, and cancer.
In her role as nutrition counselor at RWWC, Ms. Ciullo hopes to promote good nutrition in order to prevent or delay the onset of diet-related illnesses. The Rittenhouse Women’s Wellness Center provides an extremely positive and encouraging environment, something that she truly believes will benefit every patient.
